In the Unknown

In the Unknown

Throughout my life, I have had a lot of experiences, both good, and bad. I’ve had periods when I am in the mountains, where I feel like God is standing right next to me. I’ve also had plenty of times in the valley, where I’m not even sure if I truly believe anymore. I have seen plenty of my friends fall away from there faith, and I have seen plenty of people come to faith. I’ve gone from not understanding how anyone could ever want to look at porn, to being addicted to it for almost a year. I have encountered a lot of death and misery, as well as unimaginable joy. I have encountered all of this in only 19 short years. Looking back at my life, it can be hard to find any consistency to it. My likes and dislikes, my thoughts and beliefs constantly change as I grow up.

Yet, the one thing that has always stayed true, is Jesus. No matter how deep, dark, and disgusting the pit I was in, Jesus has always called be back. Not only does He call out to me, but when I call out to Him, He has always been there to pull me out of my pits. No matter what phase of life I am going through, I know that He wants what is best for me, and will be there for me. He loves me, and would die a thousand deaths on a cross if it means that I would be free of my sin. He would not only do that for me, but He would die a thousand times for you, without a second thought. I don’t know where you are, maybe you don’t know where you are either, but I know that He is ready to guide you through the storm. Whenever you are ready for Him, He will be there for you, just like He has always been there for me.

What do you think?

If this story has encouraged you to place your faith in Jesus as your Savior and your Lord, you can do so right now, or anytime you are ready, by sincerely expressing a simple prayer to Him. Prayer is simply talking with God. The exact words are not as important as the attitude of your heart. Here is a suggested prayer:
“Lord Jesus, I need you. Thank you for dying on the cross to pay for my sins. I open the door of my life and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Start making me the kind of person you want me to be.”
